Passover LegendsSpring is also the season when Passover is celebrated for about a week with festive meals, prayers and stories. Eggs symbolize joy, rebirth, hope and are eaten on the first day of Passover. Seder, is a traditional Jewish feast served at the beginning of Passover. The Seder ritual involves story telling by family or communities. The Seder is based on the Exodus from Egypt and the command that the stories are retold. There are also special Passover songs and symbolic foods. There are numerous ways families enjoy their hard boiled eggs, some chop and mix them with salt water, others eat them plan and some are served before the fish as an appetizer. Pesach is the Hebrew translation of the Latin word Pasha, which means Easter. The egg is also part of the Passover tradition.
